Art Deco Calibré Sapphire & Diamond Ring c.1930
An elegant Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring.
This unusual ring has 3 diamonds, with a larger diamond to the centre, mounted within a border of calibré cut sapphires. The combination of the colours gives a stylish look and typical of the era, the head of the ring is set in white metal with a milgrain (raised) edge onto a yellow gold under bezel.
The ring has 'split' shoulders onto a plain gold shank. It is beautifully low set to the hand and is assumed to be American in origin.
