Art Deco Diamond & Sapphire Cocktail Watch c.1935
A fabulous Art Deco sapphire & diamond set cocktail watch.
This wonderful watch has a rectangular diamond set watch to the centre with sapphire and diamond set buckle links.
The gemset sections fit across the whole of the top of the wrist making quite a statement and looking more like a bracelet than a watch.
The watch has a woven meshwork bracelet attached which has an adjustable 'pop' clasp typical of watches of this era. The bracelet is in wonderful condition.
The watch has a sympathetically restored white face with black Arabic numerals and inner minute track. Orginal blued steel hands.
Typical of Art Deco ladies watches there is a swiss mechanical movement.
The case was propbably made in London by one of the handful of specialist ladies watch makers of the time. As the watch is heavily diamond set it makes a beautiful statement when being worn.
