Art Deco Gold Fox Terrier Brooch c.1930
A fabulous gold Fox terrier Brooch c.1930.
The realistically modelled dog is in 3-D and is mounted onto a plain gold flat bar typical of brooches of this era. The brooch has a 'safety pin' design including a hidden safety catch to the reverse typical of the 1930's.
Sporting brooches depicting dogs were popular through the Edwardian era into the 1930's and references can be seen in catalogues of the time.
The dog could be converted into a pendant or charm if required.
