A beautiful and unusual Art Nouveau opal ring.
 
The ring is simply set with a firey black opal in a fine gold claw setting with a triple petalled flower motif mounted on each shoulder. 
 
This wonderful ring is low set to the finger with a reeded shank. It is open to the reverse allowing the light into the opal and is truly unique.
 
Era: Art Nouveau, 1890 - 1915
Measurements: Opal estimated 9 carats.
The head of the ring measures 1.9cm in length, 1.5cm in width, the ring weighs 3.9 grams
