Edwardian Ruby & Diamond Bee Brooch c.1910
A stylish Edwardian diamond and ruby bee brooch.
This quirky brooch has a stylised gem set bee mounted on a platinum faced gold bar. Typically Edwardian in design the bee has a rich red ruby set as the body with diamond set abdomen, small ruby eyes and old cut and rose cut diamond set swept back wings.
The bee is mounted in silver and gold and is in wonderful condition. The brooch has a gold pin to the reverse and its original safety clasp. It is perfect for wearing on a heavier fabric such as a coat or jumper.
The bee could be converted if required to a pendant.
