Edwardian Diamond and Enamel Violet Brooch c.1910
A perfectly pink enamel stylised Violet brooch set with an oldcut diamond to the centre in a milgrain edge. The brooch has a folding loop attachment to the reverse allowing it to also be worn as a pendant. The violet is associated with modesty in the meaning of flowers. The brooch is probably American in origin and the enamel is in perfect conditon.
