Georgian Pearl, Emerald & Ruby Ring c.1810
A wonderful Georgian gemset ring
This lovely ring is set with an emerald to the centre surrounded with 4 large seed pearls and 4 small rubies all in claw cut-down settings. There is an emerald set to the top of each shoulder linking to scrolled decorations and an engraved shank. This lovely ring is low set to the hand typical of the Georgian era.
The shank is fully engraved and there is an original locket behind the head of the ring in beautiful condition, to keep a keepsake close to the wearer but hidden from view.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
