Georgian Pearl, Emerald & Ruby Ring c.1800
A wonderful Georgian gemset ring
This lovely ring is set with an emerald to the centre surrounded with 4 large seed pearls and 4 small rubies all in claw cut-down settings. There is an emerald set to the top of each shoulder linking to scrolled decorations and an engraved shank. This lovely ring has a locket back in beautiful condition.
The shank is fully engraved and there is an original locket behind the head of the ring, to keep a keepsake close to the wearer but hidden from view.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
