Georgian Pearl, Turquoise & Ruby Dress Ring c.1800
A pretty Georgian ring with a small ruby cut-down set to the centre surrounded with a border of 4 beautifully matched natural seed pearls and 4 small turquoise stones.
This lovely ring has ornate 'split' shoulders each set with three small seed pearls emanating from a shell design onto a reeded shank and sits low to the hand. There is a space behind the head where there was originally a locket compartment (sadly long gone).
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and would not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this great condition are increasingly hard to find.
