Double Row Cultured Pearls, Diamond & Pearl Clasp c.1950
An elegant and wearable long double row of cultured (Akoya) pearls with a stylish pearl and diamond clasp.
The clasp has 3 cultured pearls to the centre with a diamond set scroll to each side. The clasp has a tongue style catch which is hidden when closed and a figure of 8 safety device and has a good strong snap being secure when closed. It has a beautiful scrollwork bezel to each side.
The pearls are an ivory-pinkish colour and have a good lustre. They are uniform in size.
The necklace can be worn with the clasp to the side or at the back.
Era: Mid Century; c.1940 - 1960
Measurements: Pearls 6.5 mm diameter, Necklace 75 cm (30") in length.
Hallmarks: Unmarked - clasp tests as 18ct white gold
