A stylish amethyst set bow brooch from the 1950's.

This lovely brooch has a simple gold double bow set wth an emerald cut amethyst to the centre. The amethyst is in a 4 claw mount and has a handmade detailed gallery. The back of the stone is open allowing light to shine through and show off the beautiful rich purple colour.

The brooch is handmade and has a hidden safety clasp keeping it safe when worn, it is probably American in origin.

Era: Post-war, c.1940 - 1960

Measurements: Brooch is 5.4cm long and weighs 10.3 grams
