Victorian Banded Agate Snake Pendant c.1890
A beautiful Victorian banded agate snake locket.
This wonderful pendant has a cabochon banded agate set within a coiled snake which wraps around the stone in a continual circle representing the oroborus.
The pendant has a glazed locket section to the reverse, orginally for a keepsake of a lock of hair, it has a silk lining. The pendant has a large runner ring to the top allowing for a heavy chain if necessary.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901
Measurements: Pendant 15mm in length, 7.6cm wide. 5.9 grams in weight
Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests as 15ct gold
