Victorian Cabochon Garnet Diamond Brooch
An unusual cabochon oval garnet in a cut down closed back setting is surrounded with a stylish border of old cut diamonds set in silver. This is probably a Georgian piece that has been converted into a brooch during the Victorian era. It also has the potential to convert to a clasp for pearls as the brooch fittings detatch. Later roller clasp to the pin at the reserve.
