Victorian Double Sided Locket c.1890
An unusual Victorian double opening oval locket.
This wonderful locket has a belt and cartouche detailed engraving to the front within an engine turned border. The reverse is engine turnedwith a plain centre. Both sides have an elegant, scalloped edge.
The locket has 2 hidden hinges allowing it to be opened at both sides to reveal an inner glazed compartment.
There is a large runner ring to the top allowing the locket to worn on a ribbon or chain.
Era: Victorian, 1837 - 1901
Measurements: Locket 3cm long, 2.3cm in width, 7 grams in weight.
Hallmarks: Unmarked, gold cased (tests over 9CT) front and back with gilt metal interior.
