Victorian Enamel 4-Leafed Clover Brooch c.1900
An unusual Victorian novely 'lucky clover' brooch
The brooch has an 2 intricately enamelled 4 leafed clovers set onto a tapered knife edge bar. The bar has 3 smaller enamelled shamrocks suspended by fine trace chains which move when the brooch is worn.
Each of the clovers is set with a small seed pearl to the centre. The brooch is in fabulous condition and has its original shaped fitted box.
This delightful brooch has many meanings associated with it. The 3 leaves of the shamrock represent faith, hope and love, with the additional leaf on the four leaf clovers being for luck.
