A stylish gold swallow in flight brooch set with a ruby to the eye.

 

The brooch has a sprung pin and a safety chain loop to attach a safety chain if required. The brooch could easily be converted to a pendant if required.

 

Swallows have long been seen as symbols of love and the soul and were very popular in Victorian jewellery designs being seen as lovers gifts.
