Victorian Opal Carved Half Hoop Ring c.1890
The graduated opals in this late Victorian ring are perfectly matched and each is closely set with a tiny rosecut diamond known as a diamond point on either side. The opals have an amazing play of colour. The opals are set into a beautifully carved half hoop design with scroll work decoration. This was a design very popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.
