A stylised fly is set with a sapphire head and a pearl thorax, the fly has pearl wings and is beautifully made with gold eyes and legs.

The fly is mounted onto a strong gold stockpin with a bullnose end.

The fly symbolises strength and was a popular motif in Victorian jewellery.
