A classic art deco diamond 2 stone ring by Boodle and Dunthorne.
This elegant design has 2 old cut diamonds mounted on a twist. The diamonds are finely 8 claw set within a handmade coronet mount open to the reverse.
Typical of this era, the ring has fine tapered shoulders each set with small diamonds onto a D shaped shank. It sits low to the hand and is perfect for everyday wear.
This beautiful ring would make a wonderful engagement ring.
This design is commonly referred to as a "toi et moi" ring from the French for 'you and me'. With the two principle stones representing two hearts or souls entwined. It was popularised in France in the late 18th Century by Napoleon who gave his wife Josephine a ring of a similar design as an engagement ring.
