MEET THE TEAM

Andrew & Catherine

Andrew started in the jewellery business by completing a traditional jewellers apprenticeship “at the bench” before going on to study Gemmology at the famous St. John Cass College in London.  In 1988 he was accredited as a Fellow of the Gemmological Association.

Andrew then worked for a diamond dealer in London’s Hatton Garden gaining valuable experience in the 'trade' before embarking on a career in antique jewellery which continues to this day.  He worked at a number of specialist antique jewellers in London including SJ Phillips, McKenna’s and Bentley & Skinner where he ran their shop in the famous Burlington Arcade.

" We have always bought items that we love ourselves which means we have a pride in every piece we sell. "

After a number of years selling primarily to the trade in London, Andrew set up his own business, Trivette, in 1998 selling antique jewellery, exhibiting at quality fairs across the country.

Andrew is a jewellery standards 'vetter at a number of established antiques fairs and he is well renowned within the jewellery industry for his extensive knowledge and integrity.

Andrew particularly loves early jewellery and is passionate about ensuring that all the jewellery we sell is the best quality regardless of the cost of the item.

"Choosing the perfect piece of jewellery can be a daunting experience; we have years of experience and can help advise you with every stage of the process."

CATHERINE THOMAS

Catherines interest in jewellery began at a young age as her Aunt and Uncle were antiques and jewellery dealers. She joined Andrew at Trivette in 2006 originally taking a break from the corporate world but antique jewellery quickly became a passion and a permanent change of career followed. Catherine loves the fine details in handmade jewellery and alternates between Georgian and Deco as her favourite era...

To be able to work in the specialised world of Antique jewellery is a such a pleasure, we are always learning as no two pieces are every exactly the same.
