Art Deco Diamond Marquise Ring

Art Deco Pearl & Diamond Marquise Ring c.1935

SKU: RP041
£1,950.00Price

A stylish Art Deco pearl and diamond ring.

This lovely ring has an old cut diamond and a pearl set within a beautifully figured marquise shaped head. The ring is set with small rose cut diamond accents and is low set to the hand. The setting edge has a milgrain finish typical of the Art Deco era.

The ring has plain slightly tapered shoulders onto a white gold shank and is a stylised version of the Toi et Moi design that was popular in the Edwardian and Art Deco periods.

'Toi et moi' a French term used for rings with two gems that sit side by side or close to each other, symbolising two souls becoming one.

Pearl rings are not particularily suitable for heavy wear as pearls are by their very nature soft and prone to damage if heavily worn.
