Edwardian Diamond Solitaire Ring c.1905
An unusual Edwardian diamond solitaire ring.
This elegant ring has an old cut diamond in a handmade platinum 4 double claw setting within a beautiful scrollwork mount.
The ring has wonderful carved openwork tapered shoulders in a style that was popular at the end of the 19th Century. This detailing is more generally seen in yellow gold so it is very unusual to find a ring like this finely made in platinum.
The ring is open to the reverse and has a plain platinum shank. It is perfect for everyday wear being low set to the hand.
This beautiful ring would make a fabulous engagement ring.
The ring has been made to fit a smaller hand, so sizing is slightly restricted, the largest size would be N(UK), 7(USA), 54(EUR).
