Edwardian Diamond Solitaire Ring c.1905

Edwardian Diamond Solitaire Ring c.1905

SKU: RD282
£11,500.00Price

An unusual Edwardian diamond solitaire ring.

This elegant ring has an old cut diamond in a handmade platinum 4 double claw setting within a beautiful scrollwork mount.

The ring has wonderful carved openwork tapered shoulders in a style that was popular at the end of the 19th Century. This detailing is more generally seen in yellow gold so it is very unusual to find a ring like this finely made in platinum.

The ring is open to the reverse and has a plain platinum shank. It is perfect for everyday wear being low set to the hand.

This beautiful ring would make a fabulous engagement ring.

The ring has been made to fit a smaller hand, so sizing is slightly restricted, the largest size would be N(UK), 7(USA), 54(EUR).

Era: Edwardian, c. 1901 - 1920

Measurements: Old cut diamond estimated 1.45 carats, I/J colour, VS2 clarity.

Ring Size:  I (UK) 4 1/4 (US) 48 (EUR) This ring can be resized by our goldsmith at no extra cost but with some limitations due to design.
