Georgian Rose Diamond Ring c.1790
£1,950.00
A late 18th Century Georgian diamond ring.
The ring is a design typical of the late 18th / early 19th century with 3 rose cutd diamonds in closed silver backed setting within a fine gold mount. The central rose cut diamond has a beautiful diamond point and a rounded closed setting to the reverse. This ring has fine 'split' shoulders.
The closed setting is typical of the Georgian era and sits low to the hand. There is some evidence of some past repair work but this does not detract from the ring.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. It is not advisable to get this ring wet due to the closed setting. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
