A beautiful Georgian seed pearl set suite of necklace and brooch in an antique fitted case.
The necklace made with an intricate design of fine seed pearls has a flower design drop to the base.
The drop was made by sewing seed pearls onto a mother of pearl back to give the drop strength. The clasp is made in gold and set with larger natural pearls.
The brooch echos the drop of the necklace and has seed pearls sewn onto a mother of pearl shaped design and set with a gold pin.
The necklace is very delicate and a typical design of the late 18th century. Designed to be worn directly on the skin, it is in fabulous condition and has been professionally restrung.
This wonderful suite has an antique fitted case by Ollinant & Botforsd, St Annes, Manchester. It probably would have been part of a much larger suite with additional bracelets, earrings and stomacher and has been re cased in the late 19th Century.
