Sapphire and Diamond Flower Earrings c.1950

SKU ER265
Price

£2,950.00

A stylish pair of mid-20th-century sapphire and diamond earrings.

The earrings in the form of a flower have a diamond to the centre within a border of 6 sapphires all in claw settings. These are surrounded by 6 rose gold realistically formed 'petals'.

The earrings have post and butterfly fittings to the reverse for pierced ears - they were probably originally clip fittings and have been changed at some point in their history.

The earrings come with their original fitted case by Longman & Strongitharm, Dover St, London.

Longman & Strongitharm was an 18th-century London silversmith with a Royal Warrant, whose name is associated with the historical Calcutta Cup.
