Victorian Cats Eye & Diamond Cluster Ring c.1890
RG023
£0.00
An unusual Victorian Cats-eye Ring.
This pretty ring has a central cabochon Cats-eye set within a border of rose-cut diamonds in a daisy cluster design.
Cat's eye effect, also known as chatoyancy, is caused by inclusions of fine, slender parallel mineral fibers in the chrysoberyl gemstone that reflect light in a single band.
The ring has carved shoulders onto a plain shank typical of the Victorian era.
