An elegant late Victorian bee brooch.
The quirky brooch has a stylised gem set bee with swept back rings mounted on a platinum and gold bar. Typical of the late 19th century, the bee has a mixed oval cut ruby to the body with diamonds set to the abdomen and wings.
The bee is mounted in silver and gold and is in wonderful condition. The brooch has a gold pin to the reverse and its original safety clasp.
The bee could be converted if required to a pendant or charm.
