Art Deco Blue Zircon Ring c.1935
A fabulous Art Deco blue zircon solitaire ring.
This stylish ring has a large old cut blue zircon in a fine 8 claw scrollwork coronet setting. The ring has tapered shoulders each mounted with small diamonds onto a plain white gold shank.
The zircon is a strong blue in colour and the ring is in wonderful condition.
Zircons were used frequently during the Art Deco period, being mined in Sri Lanka. They have been used in jewellery for over 2000 years and occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, golden brown and blue hues.
