A fabulous diamond set platinum wristwatch with a hidden face.
A typically Art Deco style, the rectanglar watch case has baguette diamonds set around the edge of a hinged top which opens to reveal the watch. The case has diamond set 'lugs' and engraved sides with a side winding wheel. The reverse of the hinged top has embossed initials R C-P in reverse.
The original rectangular face has black Arabic numerals with a black outer minute track and blued steel hands.
The watch is set onto a diamond set 'sprung' bracelet with an integral clasp. When closed it looks more like a bracelet than a watch. The strap has an integral thumbpiece and a figure 8 safety catch.
Era: Art Deco, c.1925 - 1940
Movement: Swiss mechanical movement
Measurements: Total diamond weight estimated 2.5 carats
Case diameter, including lugs 3.6 cm (1 3/8") in length, 1.2 cm (1/2") wide.
Watch bracelet 16 cm (6 1/4") in length, it will fit a 18 cm 7" diameter wrist.
Hallmarks: Strap stamped PLAT with inventory numbers
