Art Deco Opal & Diamond Ring c.1930
An elegant Art Deco opal & diamond ring.
This stylish ring has a cabochon black opal surrounded with a border of small diamonds in a classic cluster design. The head of the ring is platinum and the gemstones have a rubover setting.
The ring has plain slightly tapered shoulders which flow onto a plain white gold shank. The ring is very low set to the hand.
The opal has a good play of fire. The setting is open to the reverse allowing the full beauty of the opal to be displayed.
Era: Edwardian, c.1901 - 1920
Measurements: Opal estimated 0.80 carats
good play of colour - some minor abraisions consistent with age.
Head of ring 9 mm long, 7 mm in width.
