Art Deco Pearl Necklace Diamond Clasp c.1930
A fabulous Art Deco pearl necklace with a geometric diamond clasp.
The long (Opera length) row of (Akoya) cultured pearls is strung with a large geometric shield shaped design clasp. The clasp is mounted with old cut and rose cut diamonds in a stylish hand made openwork design. The clasp has a hook style tongue sitting which acts as a safety device. The reverse of the clasp has a beautiful open web design.
The necklace can be worn long or as a short 2 row choker. The pearls are very well matched and ivory in colour with a good lustre.
