A romantic early Edwardian heart pendant by Murrle Bennett & Co.
This beautiful pendant is embellished with a small diamond to the centre. The heart is hollow as is typical of the period and beautifully made and would look lovely on a chain or as a charm on a bracelet.
It has its original runner ring and is fully hallmarked to the reverse for 1903.
It was probably made by Murrle Bennett & Co with a stamped out inventory number.
Murrle Bennett & Co was established in 1896 in London by Ernst Murrle & J.B Bennett. They specialised in high quality affordable silver & gold jewellery and produced jewellery predominantly in the Art Nouveau style. Their designs were often characterised by abstract motifs typical of Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts movements. Many of their items were made for and sold by Liberty & Co in London.
