Edwardian Opal and Diamond Ring c.1920

SKU RG170

RG170

Price

£7,950.00

A beautiful Edwardian opal and diamond 3 stone ring.

The ring has a large central cabochon opal with an old cut diamond to each side. The opal is finely claw mounted in platinum with the diamonds in a claw set coronet mount open to the reverse.

There is a partial inscription to the shank ‘Peter ----- Newall Feb -- 1919’

The ring has tapered shoulders onto a plain shank and is low set to the finger typical of the era.

The opal is a beautiful colour with a strong play of orange 'fire'.  This ring could be worn as an engagement ring but with care as opal is a softer stone and will not take 'heavy' wear.  We are happy to discuss suitability further - just get in touch.
