An elegant pair of antique opal and ruby drop earrings.
The earrings each comprising two oval cabochon opals, suspended below an open bar, each topped by a round cut ruby.
The opals are finely mounted in a rubover setting with a milgrain edge and are well matched in colour, the setting is open to the reverse. The rubies are also mounted in a rubover setting with a milgrain edge.
The earrings have long hook fittings for pierced ears and move freely when worn.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920
Measurements: Total opal weight 0.60 carats.

Hallmarks: No assay marks, tests as 15 carat gold
