An elegant Edwardian opal and diamond ring.
This lovely ring has an oval cabochon opal within a border of 14 small diamonds in a timeless cluster design. The ring has tapered yellow gold shoulders onto a plain shank.
The diamonds are all mounted in a fine platinum setting with a milgrain edge and gold gallery.
The opal has a beautiful play of colour with good green and blue flashes. (Please refer to the daylight photos for an accurate colour). The setting is open to the reverse allowing the full beauty of the opal to be displayed.
The ring is very low set to the hand typical of the era.
