An elegant Edwardian peridot, pearl & demantoid garnet necklace.
The pendant is designed as a ribbon tied in a bow, set with seed pearls suspending a large central peridot within a border of foliate and floral motifs, set with further seed pearls and demantoid garnet centres.
The peridot is a lovely strong green in colour and the setting is beautifully fine with a barrel clasp fitting, very typical of the Edwardian era.
The necklace is in lovely condition and has its original fitted case by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, Regent St London.
The reverse of the swag section is engraved 'July 24th 1916'
