A stylish oversized emerald & pearl ring dress ring from the 1960's
This great textured modernist design is constructed in a 'birds nest' style and set with emerald accents and a cultured pearl to the centre.
The ring is designed to make a statement when worn and sits high on the hand. Typical of the jewellery of the 1960's and '70's it has a textured finish to the wide band. This is smooth to the reverse allowing the ring to be sized (within limitations due to the design.
The ring is fully hallmarked for 1963 and is in fabulous condition.
Hooper Bolton was a London jeweller in the 1960's and 70's both Andrew Grima and Alan Gard produced pieces for them and this piece might have been made by Alan Gard.
Era: Contemporary, 1960 onwards
