Georgian Carnelian and Agate Earrings c.1820
£1,850.00
An elegant pair of Georgian drop earrings.
The earrings each have a cabochon cut carnelian top in a cut down setting closed to the reverse.
A detachable pear shaped moss agate drop is attached to each top section. The agate is mounted in a fine gold cut down setting with a bead detail to the base. The moss agates are beautifully matched and pair well with the warm orange colour of the carnelian tops.
The earrings have front facing sleeper style fittings typical of the late 18th Century for pierced ears and are in fabulous condition. They can be worn with or without the agate drops.
Georgian jewellery like this is increasingly hard to source and care should always be taken when wearing them.
