A stylish Georgian Citrine Gentleman's ring.
This fabulous ring has a central foiled oval citrine, surrounded by an intricate floral engraved border.
The citrine is in a cut-down setting and is closed to the reverse. The ring has tapered shoulders with a foliate detail on to a plain gold shank. The ring has been altered at an earlier point to a large size.
The citrine is in a closed setting typical of the Georgian era and sits low to the hand.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces, is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear, being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
Era: Georgian, 1714 - 1837
Measurements: Head of ring 1.5cm in length, 1.3cm in width
