Victorian Emerald and Diamond 5 Stone Ring circa.1840
£2,150.00
A beautiful early Victorian emerald and diamond 5 stone ring.
This lovely ring has 3 cushion-cut emeralds with an early old-cut diamond on each side.
The gemstones are finely mounted in a cut-down claw setting and the ring is open to the reverse, allowing light to the back of the gemstones. The ring has tapered shoulders with carved detailing which flow onto a plain shank.
This beautiful ring is really low set to the finger, typical of the era.
The emeralds are a lovely colour and are assessed as Colombian in origin.
We would not recommend this design of ring for 'heavy' wear, as emeralds are a softer gemstone and the ring is well over 175 years old. Please contact us if you have any questions.
