A wonderful Georgian gemset ring.
The ring is set with a central cushion cut ruby within a border of further rubies and emeralds in a stylised cluster design, accented by beaded decorations.
The ring has a closed back typical of the Georgian era and is set onto a reeded shank with fancy carved split shoulders. It is in fabulous condition.
This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
