Masonic Banded Carnelian Signet Ring c.1955
A stylish mid Century carnelian signet ring.
This unusual ring is set with an oval banded carnelian stone. The carnelian has a Masonic square & compass engraved into the underside of the stone within the white layer revealing the red underside. This design may have been originally designed to be on the upper face but has been mounted face down to keep the engraving secret.
The carnelian is simply mounted and is open to the reverse to reveal the masonic symbol.
There is slight wear to the top of the carnelian consistent with age.
