Victorian Amethyst Drop Earrings c.1890
A beautiful pair of Victorian amethyst earrings.
These elegant earrings have a half pearl to the top set within a simple gold rubover mount suspending a small old cut diamond and pear shaped amethyst drop.
The diamond is mounted in silver with a milgrain edge and the amethysts finely claw set in yellow gold. Each earring is articulated with beautiful movement and the amethysts are open to the reverse.
The earrings have their original long hook fittings for pierced ears.
