Victorian Bohemian Garnet Horse Stickpin c1880
A late Victorian Bohemian garnet Horse novelty stickpin.
The horse's head is beautifully modelled and set with small almandine garnets and a tiny pearl to the eye.
The head is closed to the reverse and would have most probably have been made as a 'tourist' piece at the end of the 19th Century in Bohemia.
The head of the pin is made in 14ct gold onto a 9ct gold 'twisted' pin.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901
Measurements: Horse 1.4cm in length, 1.3cm at widest point.
