Victorian Diamond Rubover 5 Stone Ring c.1900
£2,750.00
A beautiful late Victorian old cut diamond 5 stone ring.
This simple and elegant design is set with five graduated old cut diamonds in a rubover setting within a plain wide, tapered buttery yellow gold band. The setting is open to the reverse, allowing the light into the diamonds.
The ring is low set to the finger, making it perfect for everyday wear.
The ring is beautifully low set to the finger and would make a beautiful engagement ring.
A rub over setting has the gemstone placed in a circle of metal, which is then held around it to catch all the sides of the gem at its widest point. It creates a very secure setting, which is easy to wear and doesn't catch, as the stones are not claw set.
