Victorian Silver Buckle Bangle c.1880
An oversized Victorian silver buckle bangle.
This fabulous wide cuff style bangle has a foliate engraving to the upper side with a large applied 'buckle' detail. The buckle is slightly hinged giving a degee of movement when worn.
The bangle is in excellent condition and is a fabulous example of late Victorian jewellery. It is slightly larger than the usual examples from this period.
It is plain on the underside typical of the era and has a hinged section to the middle with a hidden tongue clasp enabling it to be easily worn on the wrist.
Era: Victorian 1839-1901
Measurements: Bangle 3.2 cm wide, internal width 6.1 cm, external width 6.7cm.
Bangle will fit a wrist up to 18 cm diameter.
