Edwardian Fox Crop Brooch c.1905
A beautiful Edwardian fox & crop brooch.
This beautifully made brooch is in the style of a hunting crop with a fox's head attached to the centre of the crop.
This is a typical early Edwardian brooch and would have been worn originally by a lady while out riding. The crop itself is beautifully made from 15ct gold and platinum. The gold is both rose and yellow in colour with different details for the handle and the leather which is detailed in platinum.
The fox is made from gold and has a wonderful realistic snarling face. It is a good heavy weight with a secure pin at the reverse which is slightly sprung allowing for a good firm fit when worn.
Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920
Measurements: The brooch is 6.4cm in length and weighs 8.8grams
Hallmarks: Stamped 15ct - tests platinum
