A fabulous Georgian heart shaped locket with textured gold applied to both sides and a gemset pansy set to the front. The pansy is set with a garnet to the centre and turqiouse, emerald and pearls to the petals. The locket has a hidden hinge and opens revealing the original glazed compartment which has the original lock of hair and silk back. The locket has its original carved runner ring to the top and is in beautiful condition. Era: Georgian, 1714 - 1837 Measurements: Heart 1.8cm long, 1.4cm wide, 4.2grams in weight Hallmarks: Unmarked, tests 15ct gold
