Victorian Diamond 7 Stone Ring c.1880
A stylish Victorian diamond 7 stone gypsy set ring.
The beauty of this ring is its simplicity. The ring has a seven graduated old mine cut diamonds in a gypsy setting within a tapered yellow gold band.
The diamonds are almost certainly from a much earlier piece of jewellery and this ring may have been made in the Victorian era with diamonds from a Georgian piece of jewellery. As the diamonds are old mine cuts they sit higher in their setting as can be seen from the photos above.
The setting is open to the reverse allowing the light into the back of the stones.
This wonderful ring is low set to the hand typical of the era and this design is easy to wear on an everyday basis.
The ring can be sized slightly but is restricted due to the design.
