Victorian Emerald and Diamond 3 Stone Ring c.1840
£3,500.00
An unusual early Victorian emerald and diamond 3 stone ring.
The ring has an emerald-cut emerald at the centre with a deep rose-cut diamond to each side. The gemstones are in a fancy claw setting within a beautiful ribbon-designed border.
The emerald is a deep, strong green in colour and in a closed back setting. The ring has scrolling shoulders and a grooved tapered band echoing the earlier fashion of the Regency era.
The ring is very low-set on the hand and a beautiful example of the late Regency/early Victorian era.
This beautiful ring could be worn as an engagement ring as long as it isn't receiving 'heavy' wear as emeralds are a softer gemstone and more prone to damage.
