An elegant Victorian ruby and diamond cluster ring.
This stylish ring has a central old cut ruby within a border of 10 small old cut diamonds in a finely claw set coronet mount. The ring has finely carved scrollwork shoulders with an integral raised trefoil design onto a plain shank.
The ring sits very low to the finger typical of the era and is beautifully made.
It would make a beautiful unique engagement ring.
Era: Victorian, 1839 - 1901
Measurements: Ruby estimated 0.30 carats (excellent colour, assumed Burma in origin)
Total diamond weight estimated 0.40 carats
The head of the ring measures 10mm in diameter
